Our Process

CMS production of Masterbatch is a mixture of pigments or additives encapsulated into a carrier resin during a high heat process which is then cooled and cut into a granular shape. CMS Masterbatch allows the processor to colour raw polymer economically during plastics manufacturing process. Unlike powdered pigments that are messy and must be cleaned from every surface that they touch, CMS masterbatch is environmentally clean and can be made as pellet of differing sizes depending on what is best for our customer’s manufacturing process.

In addition, CMS applications of additive masterbatch are able to modify various properties:

  • ultraviolet light resistance
  • flame retardant
  • anti-fog
  • anti-static
  • lubrication
  • anti-slip
  • anti-microbials
  • anti-oxidants
  • extrusion aids
  • phosphorescence
