At CMS, we offer a wide range of compounds with mixture of Pigment Colorants. Compounds with talc Filled grades, UV stabilized, scratch resistant grades for automotive and a range of glass fiber level are also available. Compounds of all of grades can be further modified to improve UV resistance or give anti-static properties. ELATEX Polyolefin Based Thermoplastic Elastomer

Introduction

Elatex, a diverse family of rubber like materials that, unlike conventional vulcanized rubbers, can be processed and recycled like thermoplastic materials. The process of intimate melt mixing a themoplastic polymer and a suitable reactive rubbery polymer to generate a thermoplastic elastomer with a chemically closer to those ofa thermoset rubber when compared to the same uncrosslinked compošition

Application

Elatex is an olefin based elastomer that provides functional performance and properties similar to conventional thermoset rubber products, but can be processed with the speed, efficiency and economy of thermoplastics. In addition to simpler processing, principal advantages of Elatex compared to thermoset rubber products include easier recycling of scarp and closer, more economical control of dimensions and product quality. Elatex can be used in a variety of applications in the automotive, construction, food and beverage, electrical, appliance and consumer electronic markets.

Process

Elatex delivers equal or better performance at a significantly lower cost than thermoset rubbers. They provide improved chemical, heat and sealing performance versus midrange TPEs, and can be processed existing thermoplastics extrusion and co-extrusion, injection and co-injection molding, blow molding or overmolding equipment

Recyclability

Elatex is fully recyciable and reprocessable, generating even greater cost savings while meeting environmental concerns. Unlike thermoset rubber, no vulcanization is required. Our materials can be molded to tighter tolerances for more precision and co-injected or overmolded to consolidate parts, which results in faster, more simplified production line assemble. The talc grade with UV stabilized, anti-microbial, scratch resistant grades for automotive interiors and glow wire resistant grades for electrical applications. The flame refardant grade compliance to RoHS and WEE are available. Other range included PP with glass fibre and all of the grades can be modified with UV resistance or anti-static properties
